Chordia Selected for the 2025 Galant Challenge at UVA

April 23, 2025

Chordia was selected as one of six finalists to present at the 2025 Galant Challenge, the annual Demo Day-style pitch competition hosted by the Galant Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UVA's McIntire School of Commerce.

The Galant Challenge is one of the nation's premier university startup events, connecting innovative seed- and early-stage ventures with investors. Since it began in 2012, judges have invested more than $35 million in the ventures selected to pitch. This year, all six finalist teams secured funding with a total commitment exceeding $5 million.

Chordia CEO Mehul Vora (Darden '04, M.S. in MIT '05) presented Chordia's mission: enhancing — not replacing — human agents with AI-driven conversation intelligence. The presentation highlighted how Chordia improves call quality assurance from industry-standard sampling rates to complete oversight, with zero-integration onboarding and a proprietary evaluation portal for real-time feedback on call quality.

At the time of the Challenge, Chordia had already processed over half a million minutes of call volume across continents and was expanding its pipeline globally.

The event also featured a first-of-its-kind UVA-connected venture capital cohort, bringing together alumni investors from McIntire, the College of Arts & Sciences, Darden, and the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.
